Macquarie Heads Camping Ground Strahan is a bush/beach campsite located 15 km or a 30 minutes drive south-west from the small fishing village of Strahan on the West Coast of Tasmania. Macquarie Heads Camping Ground is located at the Northern end of Macquarie Harbour and is accessed via a gravel road. Unpowered Bush campsites are available for a small daily fee of app. $7 per day; a caretaker is located on site. Macquarie Heads Camping Ground provides good grassed sites next to the Harbour and is suitable for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes and a popular boat ramp is located nearby, as is a public toilet and dump point. Campers should carry their own fresh water and firewood. Strahan is accessed via a 2.5 hour (180 kilometre) drive South-West of Burnie.
