However, St Helens is a better location to purchase food and supplies as it is much bigger and has supermarkets, chemists, bottle shops, takeaway food, petrol and cafes. You need to be fairly self-contained to camp at Swimcart Beach campground and remember Bay of Fires is extremely popular with locals and visitors during Christmas and Easter, school holidays and long weekends. No costs, no bookings – DOGS OK on leads and under control, otherwise signposted.
