Stumpys Bay Number 1 Campground

Stumpys Bay #1 campground, Mt William National Park, North East of Tasmania close to the towns of Anson’s Bay, Gladstone, and St Helens. Stumpys Bay Number 1 is the best of the 4 different camping areas at Stumpys Bay, Mt William National Park. Stumpys Bay 1 camping area offers shelter and privacy and is reasonably large. Stumpys Bay 1 campground is suitable for motorhomes, big rigs, caravans, campervans, and tent camping. However, if camping in tents, we recommend you camp at Stumpys Bay number 2, as it is dedicated to camping in tents and small vehicles only. At Stumpys Bay number 1 there is a pit toilet, picnic tables, and firepits but not freshwater, no rubbish removal, and no other facilities. The costs to camp at Stumpys Bay number 1 is $13 per night for 2 people – you can camp for $50 for 7 nights for 2 persons. Additional costs apply for extra adults. To camp at Stumpys Bay number 1 you must have a valid National Parks Pass. There is an onsite ranger to check that camping fees have been paid and that you have a valid parks pass. DOGS and other pets are strictly prohibited at any Stumpys Bay campgrounds, and in any national park in Tasmania. Stumpys Bay campground number 1 is located immediately adjacent to a spectacular beach – we recommend you stay out of the water as strong rips are common in this area.
