Camping Mt Field National Park

The campground Mt Field National Park is one of the best in Tasmania and was once voted in the top 18 in Australia by National Geographic. The campground is located at the entrance to the Mt Field National Park Visitor Centre and is flat and grassy with some shade. It is suitable for tent camping through to big rigs. Camping Mt Field has both unpowered and powered sites, together with an amenities block, and operated by a private operator on-site at the Mt Field Campground. Exact fees, availability and amenities will be provided by the private operator at the time of contact – please note it is advisable to book well in advance, especially during peak holiday periods. This is a fantastic campsite, offering flat, well-grassed and shady spots suitable for tent camping and big rigs. Strictly NO DOGS or PETS. At Mt Field, there are also Government Huts available in a different location near Lake Dobson and must be booked in advance via the National Parks & Wildlife Tasmania website. For the Government Huts, keys can be collected from and must be returned to, the Mt Field Visitor Centre during business hours. A key deposit is required and is payable at the time that keys are collected – the deposit is fully refundable upon return of the key. We think you will enjoy camping at Mt Field.
