Camping Hamilton Tasmania

Hamilton is a small, historic town located in the Central Highlands of Tasmania North West of New Norfolk. Visitors to the West Coast of Tasmania, and travelling from Hobart, will generally pass through this town. There is an excellent overnight campground at Hamilton that is large and grassed beside the Clyde River and suitable for big rigs, tents, caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. There is a camper self-registration system where a small fee is paid. For a small council-operated camping area, this park offers excellent facilities. At the Hamilton Campground, there is a very good gas barbecue, picnic table with shelter, toilets, showers, and laundry facilities. Take your time and explore the history of this beautiful little town; grab a coffee from a local cafe or a cold beverage and a great counter meal from the Hamilton Pub which adjoins the campground.
